How we support you and your team
  • Support

1904082_691413864290614_959176133033842725_n2We want to make it as easy as possible for the best franchisees to set up quickly and to the highest standards, so we will give you all the support you need to get started properly.

    Our excellent initial support includes:

    • Provision of a three-day induction course so that you can get to know our business and see it in action BEFORE you make the final decision to sign up to our franchise. This way you can double-check that Stone Eden is right for you before taking the plunge.
    • A third party that will help you approach the banks for funding with a professional business plan.
    • Visits to advise you on the suitability of your chosen premises and assistance negotiating your lease (if you are renting).
    • Advice on the design and preparation of your unit for fit out.
    • Our building team.
    • Provision of everything you need in a ‘turnkey package’ and installation, testing and snagging of same.
    • Assistance with the selection of initial staff.
    • Comprehensive training of you and your team.
    • A full launch marketing package including leafleting, local media, social media and local event.
    • Managing all Ofsted and Compliance issues for you.
    • A member of our team spending a minimum of 10 days with you in your own nursery to make sure that you get off to the best start.
    • And much more!
Helping you make your new business a success

It is in our interest that you are successful because: a) we need you to uphold the very high standards we are known for; b) future franchisees will only join if existing franchisees have prospered with Stone Eden; and c) we need to cover the cost of supporting you from the percentage of your turnover we charge as ‘management fees’.

So we provide the highest levels of support:

    Ongoing support
    • An initial six-month business coaching programme with weekly goals, activities and assessment – supported by a weekly review call.
    • Weekly support calls (and access to an expert at HQ, whenever you call us).
    • Monthly business development visits.
    • Quarterly compliance reviews.
    • Quarterly business development reviews.
    • Bi-annual formal reviews and business planning.
    • Annual assistance with business planning and review of the previous year.
    • Ongoing CPD and training programmes for your team.
    • Ongoing training programmes for franchisees.
    • Access to dedicated Teacher Advisors.
    Easier administration
    • Advanced nursery management software to make running your nursery and managing your registrations easier.
    • Central management and banking of fee collection.
    • Central updating of all compliance documentation and policies.
    • Central management of standards in the provision of education and care.
    Maintaining the highest standards

Maintaining our high standards ensures the success of your business, so all of the above is meant to support the continuing development of your nursery and your team – not to police you. Ours is a very inclusive franchise and we respect the autonomy of your own business at the same time as welcoming you into our family.

  • We are now taking bookings for February half term. If you would like to book a space then please phone the nursery where we will be happy to help.
  • Ladybirds have been practicing developing their fine motor skills today and using the pegs to hang pieces of material onto a washing line. It took a lot of concentration but everyone did so well!
  • Today Turtles have been solving puzzles through matching different body sections to the right picture. They loved trying to work out what face went with what body and legs and then discussing with their friends and practitioners their own individual facial features and what colour their hair and eyes were.
  • We have had a visit today from a boy who attended the nursery between the age of 2 and 4 years old. Noah who is now 11, always showed an interest with food at an early age and it has been lovely to have him helping out in the kitchen for the day with Dinner Time Dave and Ryan. We look forward to seeing Noah again in the future.
  • The boys and girls from Dragonflies and Ladybirds have had a very exciting afternoon visiting the residents at The Henry Lonsdale Trust, Rosehill care home. We put on our coats and enjoyed a wintery walk together. Once we got there we sang the Christmas Carols that we have been rehearsing, gave the residents a hamper and the cards that we made and then had a very special visit from Santa! They were all very intrigued to find out how Santa got there and where was Rudolph as we definitely did not see him on our way in!

  • Pre-school children have had a very exciting afternoon today. We have had some special visitors who have come to talk to all of the boys and girls about what Police Officers do and the importance of stranger danger. We also got to try on the different types of uniforms and have a look around the police van.
Thank you to Cumbria Police who have put some big smiles on our children's faces.

  • Ladybirds children couldn’t wait to make their friend some cupcakes for his 4th birthday today! This gave the children the opportunity to develop their physical and gross motor skills as well as maths. The boys and girls couldn’t wait for them to bake so that we could sing happy birthday. 🎂
  • Special delivery posted today 🎄🎅🏻
  • Don't forget that we have a bake sale in the baby unit entrance with lots of tasty treats still available for a Friday treat. All donations are going to Children in need 2018.
Photos of all our children dressed up to follow this afternoon.
