A better lifestyle with Stone Eden
  • Lifestyle

cowsStone Eden is a family business, so we understand that you may want to develop a better balance between work and lifestyle in your new business – to best enjoy the fruits of a successful nursery with your own family.

Our franchise is set up to help you achieve a better balance and lifestyle quickly because:

    • Our management format, support and systems mean you can quickly develop so that daily operations run efficiently, even if you are not there.
    • This soon means that you can afford to spend more hours or days away to suit your lifestyle.
    • We understand the importance of a good work and life balance, so we happily support franchisees with different business goals and ambitions.
    • We don’t mind how big or small you want to start or how much you want to grow, as long as you are dedicated to maintaining our very high standards of education and care.
    • So our franchise is designed so that you can get what you want out of life as well as out of your business.

As well as affording you the time and potential profits to enjoy a better lifestyle, a Stone Eden nursery is also a very rewarding place to work:

    • We are a friendly, inclusive and supportive team to work with.
    • Our systems reduce the burden of administration on franchisees, making our business easier to run and more pleasant to work in.
    • Our assistance with the recruitment and training of your staff ensures you get a better and more able team, which makes the job of providing high standards much easier.
    • Our ongoing support of your team and their professional development means they are more likely to be loyal and to enjoy their jobs, making your workplace a happier one.
    • It is life-affirming to make such a positive difference in the lives of so many children and their families.
    Will Stone Eden suit you?

Stone Eden offers franchisees the flexibility to choose the size of business they want, so it can be equally attractive to:

    • Husband and wife teams where one concentrates on business development and the other takes the role of non-contact Nursery Manager (this is how we started) in a 36 to 50 place nursery.
    • Investors that want to operate a nursery of any size (large or small) as a business investment, leaving day to day operations to their team and concentrating on business development (this is how we operate now).
    • Experienced nursery education and care professionals that are interested in applying their excellent experience in operations to their own business – with our support to develop their business-management skills and commercial flair.
    • Existing nurseries that want to become part of the growing Stone Eden brand so that they benefit by offering something even better than their local competition and enjoy the support of our head office team.

You don’t need any experience in nursery education or care to be successful in our business (we didn’t have any when we started), we will train and support you with everything you need to learn.

Ours is a management franchise anyway, where franchisees are responsible for the management and development of their business – whilst their team offers the actual childcare. So we are looking for franchisees with a good head for business, whatever their experience (or lack of it) in education.

Even better, we offer all applicants that are seriously considering joining us a full 3-day taster-induction where you can learn more about our business and see it in action, before making your decision – so you can better understand if our franchise is right for you.

  • Pre-school children have had a very exciting afternoon today. We have had some special visitors who have come to talk to all of the boys and girls about what Police Officers do and the importance of stranger danger. We also got to try on the different types of uniforms and have a look around the police van.
Thank you to Cumbria Police who have put some big smiles on our children's faces.

  • Ladybirds children couldn’t wait to make their friend some cupcakes for his 4th birthday today! This gave the children the opportunity to develop their physical and gross motor skills as well as maths. The boys and girls couldn’t wait for them to bake so that we could sing happy birthday. 🎂
  • Special delivery posted today 🎄🎅🏻
  • Don't forget that we have a bake sale in the baby unit entrance with lots of tasty treats still available for a Friday treat. All donations are going to Children in need 2018.
Photos of all our children dressed up to follow this afternoon.
  • The business owners David and Jenn, have recently been to visit Stone Eden in Guangzhou, China to conduct the second support visit. Stone Eden China is a beautiful new setting which is providing many of the local children with high quality British standard childcare. We will be developing a partnership with this setting and hope to share letters and pictures from Stone Eden Carlisle over the coming months.
  • What a fantastic learning experience some of our apprentices (Declan, Megan and Gill) had on Monday, visiting the University of Cumbria. We had a full tour of the campus and were able to see the 'outdoor classroom' that is used for teaching sessions.

  • Children in need 2018
  • Yesterday the children in Turtles celebrated Diwali through making their own little lanterns. The children spread lots of glue and then placed different materials onto their lanterns to make them look beautiful and bright.
  • Pre-School have been playing in the water tray this morning and identifying letters in their names. This activity allowed them to develop their literacy skills whilst playing in the water tray.
