About the franchise

What is the Stone Eden franchise?
  • About the franchise

CIMG4398Stone Eden is a successful nursery school. We provide a very high standard of education and care to babies from 3 months, toddlers 2 to 3 years and to preschool children from 3 to 5 years old.

Rated as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted; for more than ten years we have provided a stimulating and enjoyable preschool experience that has proven to nurture the future success of children of all abilities and temperaments.

At the same time, Stone Eden was founded on strong commercial grounds because we believe that you can only offer the best nursery environment if the business that supports it is profitable and sustainable.

The Stone Eden franchise gives you the opportunity to replicate our success with your own nursery, which will offer the best nursery care because it can be sustained by an excellent return on your investment.

Even the smallest 36-place unit can target around £350,000 to £370,000+ annual turnover and we have already proven a larger unit can generate over £1million.

    Our history

Stone Eden started in 2005 and has traded profitably ever since, at the same time as becoming recognised as a leading provider of consistently high education and care.

We started with small premises that provided 36 places in three rooms; each dedicated to one of the age ranges – babies from 3 months, toddlers 2-3 and preschool children 3 to 5 – as well as providing a permanently staffed reception and dedicated kitchen.

We were so successful in our first nursery that we moved to larger premises after just three years – in 2008.

Over the years we have extended our second site several times with extensions, new dedicated buildings and state of the art facilities, so that we now cater for more than 180 daily places and a register of some 350 children.

Our turnover now exceeds £1m, with excellent returns.

We have always been a family business and intend to stay that way. This benefits franchisees in many ways, including:

    • Direct support by family-member directors who are more interested in your success and achievement of the highest standards than a work-a-day franchise manager would be.
    • More interest in developing our national network steadily with similar-minded partners that will maintain our standards than just opening more nurseries.
    • More stability as you grow your business because neither the ownership nor the management of the franchise will change.
    • A better mutually-rewarding relationship between real people that care about what you want to achieve.

We have proven the success of Stone Eden and will help ensure you enjoy the same in your own Stone Eden business.

  • We are now taking bookings for February half term. If you would like to book a space then please phone the nursery where we will be happy to help.
  • Ladybirds have been practicing developing their fine motor skills today and using the pegs to hang pieces of material onto a washing line. It took a lot of concentration but everyone did so well!
  • Today Turtles have been solving puzzles through matching different body sections to the right picture. They loved trying to work out what face went with what body and legs and then discussing with their friends and practitioners their own individual facial features and what colour their hair and eyes were.
  • We have had a visit today from a boy who attended the nursery between the age of 2 and 4 years old. Noah who is now 11, always showed an interest with food at an early age and it has been lovely to have him helping out in the kitchen for the day with Dinner Time Dave and Ryan. We look forward to seeing Noah again in the future.
  • The boys and girls from Dragonflies and Ladybirds have had a very exciting afternoon visiting the residents at The Henry Lonsdale Trust, Rosehill care home. We put on our coats and enjoyed a wintery walk together. Once we got there we sang the Christmas Carols that we have been rehearsing, gave the residents a hamper and the cards that we made and then had a very special visit from Santa! They were all very intrigued to find out how Santa got there and where was Rudolph as we definitely did not see him on our way in!

  • Pre-school children have had a very exciting afternoon today. We have had some special visitors who have come to talk to all of the boys and girls about what Police Officers do and the importance of stranger danger. We also got to try on the different types of uniforms and have a look around the police van.
Thank you to Cumbria Police who have put some big smiles on our children's faces.

  • Ladybirds children couldn’t wait to make their friend some cupcakes for his 4th birthday today! This gave the children the opportunity to develop their physical and gross motor skills as well as maths. The boys and girls couldn’t wait for them to bake so that we could sing happy birthday. 🎂
  • Special delivery posted today 🎄🎅🏻
  • Don't forget that we have a bake sale in the baby unit entrance with lots of tasty treats still available for a Friday treat. All donations are going to Children in need 2018.
Photos of all our children dressed up to follow this afternoon.
