Toddler rooms
Our ‘Little cherries’ and ‘Daisies’ toddler rooms have been designed to create calming and positive learning environments for the children to explore.Toddlers are keen to explore the world around them, therefore we ensure that our rooms are fun and interesting with real world resources, continuous provision and support from skilled practitioners.
Our nursery staff are highly trained and ready to support and extend each child’s learning as they play.
Children’s independence is encouraged at different levels throughout the nursery, we promote these skills at meal times and through self care with supervision.
Outdoor play is very important for all age groups and our nursery children explore the orchard and soft surface play areas every day. There is no such thing as bad weather to us as we dress appropriately whatever the weather. Outside we learn about growth, nature, the seasons and also develop our listening and communication skills.
Pre writing skills are very important to our development and involve gross motor play using large equipment, this helps to develop our core control, depth perception, grasp, hand eye coordination, motor planning and more. These skills start to develop from birth with our early movements.
