Outdoor facilities
At Stone Eden we ensure all children of all ages have the opportunity to explore any of the three outdoor areas we have within our outstanding setting.
Promoting healthy living is very important, ensuring all children get the chance to experience how to lead a healthy balanced lifestyle is paramount.
Therefore bringing the inside out is what we do best, as we understand how much our children thrive off experiencing fresh air and from being in our stimulating and positive outdoor areas.
Many people may question if we go outside in the cold and wet, but the answer is always YES, with appropriate clothing provided by parents/carers and a good pair of wellies are all your child needs to be happy outside, embracing the weather which enhances the opportunities already provided.
As practitioners we embrace the many changes in our very unpredictable British weather, allowing all children to experience wind, rain, snow, sunshine, frost plus many more. Giving children the opportunity to experience the seasons on a hands on approach promotes development as we explore the environment around us.

Being outside is what children love therefore as practitioners we embrace this to promote learning, exploring our outdoor environment allows us to look at the trees, watch the seeds grow, feel the different textures and listen to the different sounds, feel the wind, rain and sunshine against our skin, learn about the world we live in, plus many more important development and life skills.
Our rural setting is the perfect environment for us to be based in as we can soak up the nature surrounding us. Children become filled with excitement as our neighbouring farm vehicles pass by and give us a friendly wave.
Children also love to take part in an exciting observation walk as practitioners take children to our neighbouring farm, spotting animals, habitats and creatures living in the fields and long grass.
I love how much fresh air my child and friends receive, I also love watching my child explore the outdoor areas, she is always so excited to tell me about her day.
